Glenn Bright

Glenn founded the company in 1985 with the guidance of his father Max Bright. He has worked in the earthmoving and civil construction industry since 1979.

Glenn has a Diploma of Business and is qualified to risk assess plant and issue certificates of competency for the operation of plant.

Glenn was instrumental in the writing of our company's quality and health and safety management system. He is responsible for administrative duties within the company and the procurement and disposal of plant and equipment.

Glenn has involvement in all projects at management level within the company, initially with tendering; ensuring the supply of all plant and labour to the site, and then quality safety and environmental management. He directly manages or oversees all Water Authority projects.


Jeff Bright

Jeff joined his brother in 1989 as a director and shareholder of Max Bright & Sons. He directly manages or oversees major projects, including initial pricing and preparation of tenders. He has extensive experience in civil works, including; road and rail construction, golf course construction, landfill construction and capping, lagoon construction for wastewater treatment plants, and associated pipe, pit, mechanical and electrical components.

Jeff’s primary experience within the earthworks industry has allowed him to develop comprehensive skills regarding all areas associated with the delivery of earthworks projects. It should be noted Jeff has recently Project Managed the delivery of four BPEM landfills.

He possesses wide-ranging skills in the following areas;

  • Geotechnical engineering including classification of soils and mechanical properties of soil

  • Project programming and resource management

  • Landfill construction and capping under BPEM requirements

  • Survey requirements such as site set-out, volume verification and site calibration

Michael Bright

Michael has worked in the earthmoving and civil construction industry since 2004. Michael completed 18 months as a graduate engineer in John Holland's rail division. He is a qualified Civil Engineer and also holds a certificate of competency for numerous earthmoving equipment.

Michael’s primary experience within the earthworks industry has circled around his Site Engineer position. He has a keen understanding of the following areas;

  • Safety, Quality and Environmental Risk management

  • Project programming and resource management

  • Procurement, including manufacturers’ quality assurance and construction quality assurance requirements of all project product.

Mitchell Coleman

Mitchell joined his uncles at Max Bright and Sons in 2005. He has experience working on all major projects to some extent that our company has been awarded since he began his employment.

Mitchell provides maintenance services to all plant and equipment. He is a qualified diesel mechanic, obtaining his trade with Williams Adams. His skills include fault identification and rectification, servicing and general plant asset management.
